] Esri announced that Patty Mims has been appointed to the board of directors of the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF), a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing and promoting best practices in geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) on a national level. USGIF is the only organization of its kind aimed at bringing together the many disciplines involved in the geospatial intelligence sector to exchange ideas, share best practices, and promote the education and importance of a national geospatial intelligence agenda.
Ms. Mims has been a member of USGIF’s strategic planning and program committees since before its charter as a non-profit. She has held many roles supporting USGIF, including chairing the program committee. Under her leadership, Esri supports USGIF at all events and the educational outreach of the foundation via donations of Esri’s ArcGIS software for training and special projects.
